The citadel of Byblos is, in my opinion, one of the more beautiful places in Lebanon. There is such a
variety of incredible and worth visiting places in the citadel that you really need to see this and
reserve
some time if you visit Byblos. It's also really easy to visit if you are staying in Beirut.

Around one hour drive from Beirut depending on traffic, the citadel is an essential visit. Great
historical
site in and around the castle and lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops in a beautiful setting. Well
worth the short trip from Beirut to spend a half day with lunch or dinner.

Byblos is a must-visit UNESCO World Heritage site, offering a perfect mix of history, scenic views, and
vibrant culture. This ancient city boasts well-preserved ruins dating back to 8000 BC. Visitors can
explore
at their own pace with multilingual historical signs and breathtaking scenery. It’s an excellent spot
for a
perfect afternoon.
